Change to Exclusive Edit Mode

Dear DXL developers,

I want to change the module to exclusive edit mode by Coding . I tried :

Permission permission = read|create|modify|delete|control

set(currentModule,permission,"user") // i put my user name instead of user

But nothing occured.

Is there a way ?

Thanks in advance

You changed your access rights to the current module (equivalent to 'File --> Module Properties --> Access' in the GUI, but not the module mode (equivalent to 'Edit --> Edit Mode' in the GUI).

The DXL function you want to use is 'Module edit(string name [,bool disp]). With other words, for the current module you would write

Module currMod = current Module
if (!null currMod){currMod = edit(fullName currMod, true)}

Note that this fragment does not check whether the module is already open, neither if you have the proper access rights.

Peter
